Illuvium Zero Guide: How to Build Out Your Land

Illuvium Zero has arrived! As such, I have been playing non-stop for the last 8 hours and thought it would only be right to create an Illuvium Zero guide. While my latest resources finish their production cycle, I wanted to provide a quick overview of the gameplay, video of my first hour in Illuvium Zero and a break down of the buildings you will be working with on Day 1. I hope this Illuvium Zero Guide can help people navigate the game efficiently. I truly believe this is the future of gaming and it seems like every day now we get to see the Illuvium team deliver another key aspect of the game. Enjoy!

Elements and Fuel Found in Zero

Before we begin you must have a grasp of the different elements and fuel found in Illuvium Zero. Elements are mined in Illuvium Zero to be converted into fuel, which is used in the Illuvium Overworld

There are 3 elements to be mined Carbon, Hydrogen and Silicon. These elements are used in a balanced way to progress through Illuvium Zero. They are used to upgrade buildings, scan for blueprints and produce our different types of fuel.

There are also 3 fuel types you can produce to use in the Illuvium Overworld:

Crypton: Used to travel to different regions.

Hyperion: Used to cure shards and capture Illuvials.

Solon: Used to craft weapons, armor and various upgrades.

Fuel can also be sold in the marketplace to other players in exchange for Ethereum.

Building Out Your Land

Building out your plot of land is actually a very intuitive process. The Illuvium team did a great job of making it very easy to navigate. To start off there is really only one option and that is to build a Nexus.

Once built, you will still have resources available to build an Engineering Workshop

From here each landowner will go in their own direction. My plot came with 4 Outcrops to mine Carbon, 1 Lake to produce Hydrogen and 1 Crystal Deposit to produce Silicon. Having each type of element on your plot is definitely a luxury and undoubtedly will command a higher dollar value in the open market. Each element requires a building to mine it. For a Carbon mine you will need a Sediment Excavator

For a Silicon deposit you will need a Mine

Lastly, for a Hydrogen producing Lake you will need a Hydrogen Pump

Once your mining operation is up and running you will need to build your storage facilities to house the elements. The storage units for our elements are called Matter Silos

Fuel Buildings

Once you start to build up your element inventory it’s time to get to the main aspect of Illuvium Zero, the fuel. As discussed earlier our fuel types are Crypton, Hyperion and Solon. Crypton can be produced using a Crypton Gate

Hyperion is produced using a Hyperion Extractor

Lastly, Solon is produced using a Solon Dredge

These fuels also have their own storage buildings called Containment Units

As you can see above many of the pictures include upgraded buildings. Each upgrade leads to more efficiency and higher production counts. It also will take longer to complete, but with higher production it will mean that landowners can rest easy knowing their land is producing at a high level with less frequent clicks of the mouse.

Finding Illuvial Blueprints

Once you are efficiently producing fuel the last component of Illuvium Zero to consider is Illuvial Blueprints. These will allow landowners to gain rare NFT skins for in game items like weapons and armor. In order to get blueprints you must scan your plot of land for Illuvial Biodata using a Singularity Scanner. Once biodata is found it can be researched further in the Materials Lab. There is also a storage facility for Illuvial biodata and blueprints called the Data Bank.

Lastly, if you would like to show off your scanned biodata you can do so using the Holographic Statue. Moreover, a Marketplace on your land makes it easy to buy and sell various resources.

I hope this Illuvium Zero guide gives people good insight into the gameplay mechanics and helps you come up with a game plan for how to build up your Illuvium Zero Land. Today was a monumental day for the Illuvium team. Congratulations to all who helped make this game a reality!
